Dec 2006: Awarded a DM degree for my thesis on – "Morphometric and Biomechanical Evaluation of Deer Thoracic & Lumbar Spine", with a view to develop a model for spinal implant testing.

The thesis was a result of work carried out at the Biomechanics laboratory University of Nottingham. The thesis has been forwarded to the medical devices agency.

"Eliminating Tumour Cells from the Cell Saver (CS) in Metastatic Spine Tumour Surgery Using a Leucocyte Depletion Filter (LDF): Dispelling an Old Myth" has been selected best paper award at The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS13) in Vancouver, BC, Canada, April 3-5, 2013.

Awarded the best and the only surgical teacher receiving the excellence award for 2010-2011 for contribution to undergraduate teaching.

Best Paper Award (ASSI Conference 2009)
Awarded the best paper award for podium presentation at ‘SRS & ASSI Conference 2009’ held in Chennai, India, in Jan 2009. Award presented by John Kostuik.

Best Clinical Poster Presentation Award 2015
Awarded at the 42nd Annual Meeting of the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) in San Francisco, USA – 8th – 12th June 2015. The title of the presentation is ‘Metastatic spine tumour surgery: A comparative study of minimally invasive approach using percutaneous pedicle screws fixation versus open approach’.
